At the time of its creation, the CESNI was provided with Rules of Procedure (Resolution CCNR 2015‑I‑3).
The CESNI then added to its framework of internal rules, in accordance with Article 12(2) of these Rules of Procedure, by formally adopting internal regulations ensuring the independent and transparent organisation of the Committee’s work. The Internal Regulations on the status of approved organisations govern the participation of representative international non-governmental organisations, while the Internal Regulations on permanent and temporary working groups govern the work of these groups, which will prepare standards to be submitted to the Committee for adoption.
The CESNI has also adopted Internal Regulations on the status of observer States, in response to requests from third-party States that are not members of either the CCNR or the EU wishing to take part in the work of the Committee and its working groups.
